Hotel Bar - Leading Family Hotel & Resort

We just got back from a week at the Hotel Bär and our children (almost 7 year old twins) are begging to go back again. The hotel has mastered the formula for having a great family holiday. Children feel they have the run of the place and have tons of freedom to go about as they please (but key card access is placed high so that they cannot wander into the pools), the restaurant food was surprisingly good and varied, the service was nice and warm but not intrusive, the rooms were large and clean with beautiful mountain views, the facilities (pool, beach club, spa, sauna area) were fantastic. The hotel also arranges activities in the area that are either included in the cost of the stay or for a small additional fee. The area of Serfaus has so much to do for children that we felt we could easily have stayed another week and not been bored. We stayed for 7 days and we were active everyday - hiking, swimming, activities, then relaxing in the sauna while the children were on their own activities arranged by or with the hotel, or in the kids' club. It was the perfect balance of being super active while being very relaxing. Wholeheartedly recommend Serfaus and Hotel Bär.

We spent 3 days at Hotel Bär and wished we had longer. Perfect for families with children with great facilities to keep kids entertained. Rooms very clean and spacious. Absolutely loved the fact dinner was a buffet for kids but 4-5 courses of fine dining type food for adults. Already looking at when we can return again- for longer next time.

Hotel Bär indeed is a Family hotel! We had a fantastic stay in Serfaus during the summer. There’s plenty of entertainment and activity for the kids. The food of the restaurant is fantastic. And we felt so welcome. The family trip to the mountain lake with a barbecue lunch was great. Only the room we stayed was very warm and slightly outdated (that’s why I rate 4 stars). For sure we’ll stay at Hotel Bär again!

We've stayed twice now at Hotel Bär and it was wonderful (we've also stayed at Hotel Lowe which was equally good but slightly better suited to families with younger children). The hotel has lovely views of the village and mountains. The rooms are large and extremely clean and well kept and the facilities are excellent (pools, spa, sports hall, kids' soft play). The food was really good too (better than last year). And the staff are lovely.
